I am proud to say that I survived the concrete jungle of the Big Apple! Wow! I now know where that term came from. I had been to New York once before but this time it seemed overwhelming to me. Maybe it is the fact that I have truly become an “island girl” and am used to my slower paced life. It seemed that everything in New York is in a constant state of movement. Not so great for a girl who likes to stop and smell the roses and capture the sights and sounds of a place with her camera. My girlfriends dragged me from one end to the other and back. My feet don’t know what hit them. We enjoyed amazing food (yum!), conquered the subway (yikes!), went to the top of the Empire State Building (wow!), and toured Ellis Island (such history!). This time of year the city is a color pallet of browns and grays. Being very visual, I found myself looking for any little bit of color I could find. I did manage to find some in the strangest of places. The rest I had to “pimp out”. Some of these were taken with my little point and shoot camera and I have to say it did ok.
Still cold enough to ice skateColor!
