Happy Christmas Eve!! I honestly can’t believe it really is Christmas because it was just summer. It is a beautiful sunny day here…not very Christmassy but gorgeous all the same. Someday I would really like to have a white Christmas. So here I am once again, sending cards at the last minute, tying up loose ends, trying to find that Christmas spirit, taking a last minute photo of my boys to send out, and keeping my very excited boys busy before their heads explode. It does feel a little bit like Ground Hog Day. Didn’t we just do this?
Christmas is not an easy time to be a photographer. Our families get a bit neglected as we try to get all of our clients their photos by Christmas and most of the time, we can’t get it all done in time. I think we need to start Christmas in August next year.
This is the time to reflect on the past year and I wanted to write this post to say thank you for trusting me with your most precious memories and sharing your lives with me. I really have the best clients and I enjoy my time with each and every one of you. I thank you for your patience this year and for all your referrals. I am truly blessed to do what I do. I hope to see you again next year and to watch your families continue to grow.
So here are my boys, whom I barely recognize in this photo because they just look so darn big. I am embarrassed to post this as I quickly took it yesterday in the five seconds I had. Not very creative at all or what I had intended. But it is what it is. Next year I will take my own advice: if you have kids TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES! Childhood is so fleeting. My guys are turning into little men. I cherish this Christmas so much because I have a feeling next year one or both may no longer believe in Santa. So try to stay in the moment and soak it all in this Christmas. I hope all your Christmas wishes come true!
